This comfy balanced mug is clutchable in three distinct ways. Grasp it by the middle, grab on the curly handle, or tuck fingers under and the pinkie in the loop at the end. It’s incredibly comfortable and a joy to look at. Hand-thrown on the wheel with a brushed-on matte yellow glaze matched against a glossy white and blue speckled handle, in a shape we are going to have to patent some day soon. Makes an ideal daily drinker, coffee or tea.
Name-wise, we couldn’t resist the attempt to reclaim the title for the heroic Chief Mate of Melville’s Pequod, whose Quaker roots prevented him from wishing ill on Moby Dick.
